A Thousand and One Tales

Terms of Use

Effective 21 October 2026

These terms govern your use of A Thousand and One Tales (the “Service”), a website that writes and illustrates fairy tales for children with the help of artificial intelligence. The Service is operated by Zavivon (“we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to these terms.

1. Who may use the Service

The Service is intended for parents, guardians and other adults (18 years or older) who create tales for children aged 2 to 8. Children may read or listen to tales together with an adult, but must not create accounts, make purchases or enter information about themselves.

By using the Service you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and, if you enter a child's name, that you are that child's parent or guardian or have their permission.

Before signing in, paying or entering a child's name, we ask for your year of birth. If the answer shows that the visitor is a child, these features stay closed.

2. What the Service offers

Free: one personal tale per family with three illustrations, and the Tale of the Month, which is free for everyone.

Subscription ($9.99 per month): an illustration on every page, the storyteller voice, up to two continuations of each tale, up to 3 new tales a day and up to 20 tales a month in total (continuations included).

Single tale ($1.99): one additional tale with an illustration on every page, without signing in. Continuations and the storyteller voice are part of the subscription.

We may change, add or remove features, limits and prices. Price changes for an active subscription take effect from the next billing period and are announced in advance by email.

3. Payments

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

The subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time in Account → Manage subscription; access continues until the end of the paid period. Taxes are calculated by Paddle according to your country.

Refunds are described in our Refund Policy.

4. Accounts

A subscription requires an account: sign-in by an email link or with Google. Keep access to your email and Google account secure; you are responsible for activity in your account.

A single tale can be bought without an account. In that case the purchase is linked to your browser: if you clear the browser data or switch devices before using it, we cannot restore it. Sign in before buying to keep purchases safe.

5. Generated content

Tales, illustrations and narration are created automatically by artificial intelligence. Every text is checked by an automatic safety review written for young children, but no automatic system is perfect. Please read or listen to a tale yourself before or together with your child, and tell us at the email address on this page (coming soon) if anything seems inappropriate — we will remove it.

Tales are fiction. They may contain inaccuracies and are not educational, medical or psychological advice.

Do not try to make the Service produce content that is harmful, frightening, hateful, sexual, violent or that infringes other people's rights. We may block tales and accounts that violate this.

6. Rights to tales

You may read, print, share and keep the tales you create for personal, non-commercial use, including sharing the tale's link with family and friends. Anyone who has the link can open the tale; tale pages are hidden from search engines.

The website, its design, characters of the Tale of the Month, logos and software belong to Zavivon. You may not copy the Service, resell tales or use the Service to build a competing product.

You give us permission to store your tales and show them to people who open their links, so that the Service can work.

7. Availability and liability

We work to keep the Service available and safe, but it is provided “as is”, without guarantees that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. If a tale fails to be created, it does not use up your free tale, your purchase or your subscription limits.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.

8. Ending use

You may stop using the Service and ask us to delete your data at any time. We may suspend access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly violated.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page with its effective date; important changes are announced to subscribers by email in advance.
